CLINICAL ASSISTANT PROFESSORThe Department of English at New York University seeks an experienced teacher and adviser for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor, with the additional title of Director of Student Research and Advisement. The candidate should have a broad knowledge of and keen interest in undergraduate and MA-level curricula in English and American literature, as well as experience in advising and guiding research activities at the BA and MA levels. An additional specialization in new media, digital humanities, and/or contemporary literature is highly desirable. This position carries teaching as well as administrative and advisement responsibilities.
This is a full-time, non-tenured administrative and teaching position renewable on an annual basis, beginning September 1, 2012, pending budgetary and administrative approval. Candidates must have completed the Ph.D. and have a record of excellent teaching, as well as demonstrated organizational experience in managing and developing educational and cultural programs.
